Association Meeting this Tuesday September 03 @7pm in the clubhouse.
August 29, 2024
“End of Summer Party” – you have until September 1st to sign-up and join us for this fun event. Envelopes are available in the library. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
IMPORTANT – the Social Committee and I are trying to include live entertainment at some events. This was one of the top requests when we send out a survey. In an attempt to accommodate everyone, we are going to try to allow residents to attend for just the entertainment portion. We are asking for your cooperation. If you have opted for just the entertainment, we ask that you do not come to the clubhouse before 6:15pm. You are welcome to bring your own food and snacks after this time. This event is being catered and it doesn’t look good if we tell the vender we have 50 people and there are 60 or 70 there. If we find that residents are showing up at 5 or with food and/or snacks we will not offer this option in the future. If you decide to change your mind and now want food also, use the envelopes in the library and pay the difference. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Annual Holiday Trip – We are down to single digits! We have only 9 spots left for this trip. Once we are full, we will start a wait-list. See the attached flyer for more information.
FYI – We have had another instance where rodents, including squirrels, have gotten under the hood of a vehicle and chewed the wires causing extensive and very costly damage. Please do whatever you can to prevent attracting these varmints. Make sure that garbage is secured, don’t feed the feral cats and Ground Hogs, don’t leave peanuts out for the squirrels, and sorry to say limit feeding the birds. All of these things attract rodents. Be a good neighbor.
August 26, 2024
IMPORTANT!!
There is no Bingo this Tuesday.
Thank you,
Frank Moore

Did you miss the Iron Pigs Baseball Bus Trip? If you did you missed a great evening! At least two people said it was the best trip ever. We feasted on hamburgers, hotdogs, pulled pork, fried chicken, salads, fruit, fresh baked cookies and more. We had our own bar and hostess, and the service could not have been better. All the seats were under cover, so no one was in the sun. We had tables and chairs, plus stadium seats that were oversized and padded, with enough leg room to cross your legs. We saw a great Fireworks Show and even the Mascot came to visit us and take pictures. The bus dropped us off right at a “private gate” and we had to walk less than 100 feet to our elevator and then right done the hall to our “private picnic area.” Even the restrooms were right there! I hope if we run this trip again you will consider joining us.

Barbara and I and Mike and Sharon Grimm just booked a cruise for May 31, 2024 – June 7, 2024, to the Bahamas with Perfect Day at CoCoCay. We will be sailing out of Port Liberty, NJ. This cruise is going to Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida; Nassau, Bahamas; and CocoCay, Bahamas, (Royal Caribbean’s private island. The ship is Symphony of the Seas! This is a newer, amazing ship. I contacted Royal Caribbean this morning to attempt to set up a “Group Cruise”. They will not set up a “Group Cruise” unless we have 8 reservations already. There are no special discounts for a group on this cruise, (it’s almost sold out). I was able to set up our cruise today online, to take advantage of some Black Friday Deals. I booked our cruise using “Affirm”, (under their payment options) and will be making 6 interest free payments starting January 24th. I did not have to make any down payment today because I used “Affirm”! If you would like to join us, I suggest you go online and make your reservations as soon as possible, select the 5:30pm dining time, and let me know. I will link all of our reservations so that we are sitting together and will work on getting us transportation to and from the port. I will also have a meeting next week to talk about the cruise.

We need help! The Social Committee works very hard and puts in many hours planning, decorating, shopping, and preparing food for events at the clubhouse. To say it’s a little discouraging that so few people attended the last event would be an understatement. I am not sure if it was a one off, or a swing and miss on our part, so I am reaching out to you to try to find out. I have placed surveys in the library and I'm asking you to complete it and place them in the basket next to the desk. Your comments will be useful in planning future events.
Thank you in advance for your help.

June 18, 2023
Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there. I hope you are having a great day. Well, it has been a little rough start to Summer 2023, first with a small Covid Outbreak and then some squirrels decided that the wiring on our clubhouse Sprinkler System would make a good meal. I’m happy to report that the Covid Outbreak has abated and I’m glad to report that everyone who did have it have recovered. Two residents appear to have “Long Covid”. What is long covid? They are both negative and not contagious and have been cleared to be around other people, however they are still experiencing some of the effects of Covid, such as tiredness and cough. This should clear up in time. The report from the management is that estimates for the repairs on the Sprinkler System, a new Garage Doors, and the removal of the squirrels has been sent to the owners. We are all hoping all this work will be done quickly and efficiently. We are going to start opening things up, albeit a little slowly. Please see below for additional information.

When Nathan Detroit needs money for a floating craps game,
he turns to high-rolling gambler Sky Masterson. Nathen bets
that Sky can’t get a date with a prim and proper missionary,
but he ends up falling in love! From the bright lights of Broad-
way to the dance clubs of Havana, Guys and Dolls rolls the dice
on love with the showtunes “Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat,”
“I’ve Never Been in Love Before,” and “Luck Be a Lady.”
-
Murder Mystery Update – we have booked the Theater Group for a matinee show for February 24, 2023. We thought this would be a good way to weather the winter doldrums. We are looking at catering and will be sending out more information as we get closer to the date.

Important Information
There was an incident at the clubhouse this morning that has necessitated its temporary closing. You may have heard the Fire Trucks and Police Cars.
-
An animal, probably a squirrel, chewed through the wires of the clubhouse’s Fire Monitoring and Fire Suppression System rendering it inoperable at this time.
-
Do to insurance requirements we are unable to occupy the clubhouse until it’s repaired.
-
A serviceman has already been out to the clubhouse and prepared a report to have a technician come and either repair or replace the wires.
-
We have no timeline right now for when this work will be completed.
-
The pool remains open; however, the bathrooms are not available for your use.
There is a stain of covid that is making its way through the community. We are asking the following:
-
Practice Social Distancing.
-
Wash your hands regularly and use hand sanitizer.
-
Try not to congregate in large groups for the next 10 days.
-

Canaster scheduled for June 7th has been cancelled.

-
We are asking any Activity Leader not listed above to reschedule any meetings or gatherings. We will re-evaluate on June 14th and hopefully this brief hiatus will stem the spread.
-
The pool will remain open during this time for the following reasons:
-
The chances of catching covid outdoors is much less and,
-
Choline should kill the virus.
-
-
-
Some Covid reminders:
-
If your not feeling well, don’t share and wear a mask.
-
If you are not feeling well and/or running a fever test for Covid.

Important Information for all residents:

Manufactured Home Community Act 805
There is a petition in the library to ask our State Legislators to support this Bill. The Bill is written, and we are looking for additional legislative sponsors who will vote the Bill out of committee and bring it to the floor for a vote. The main importance of this Bill is that it will give owners of Modular Homes the ability to fight exorbitant Land Rent increases through arbitration. It also ties Land Rent increases to the Cost of Living. Right now, we have no ability to dispute theses rent increases.

The petition is in the library, and I am asking that everyone stop by and sign it. If you have a neighbor who does not have email, please share this information with them. If you would like to sign, but can’t get down to the library, let me know and I will make arrangements to come to you.
